historical fiction have considered the reputation of Richard III, and have offered dichotomous perspectives on this British monarch's actions,
his beliefs, and even his religious ideologies. While some claimed that
Richard was one of the most infamous and questionable monarchs in
British history, others have argued that the claims against Richard III
were made for political reasons, and have not withstood the brunt of a
historical assessment regarding the veracity of claims made. This paper
considers the nature of the debated elements of Richard's character and
