The paper describes the structure and the people of Parkview, a seniors’ independent living apartment building. Though Parkview does not offer assisted living, it does offer many conveniences of great value to the elderly, as well as the security that so many elderly people find comforting. Residents have their own private apartments, but they have built a community within the building, one that helps others when they need help and provides a rich social life for individuals.
